Our Mission

We are a neighborhood initiative that wants to be present for the people of Johannstadt with our coffee bike. We offer free coffee, biscuits and homemade cakes. We are also happy to come to festivals and neighborhood events to support them with our service and equipment. We want to be a bridge between generations, cultures, groups and each individual.

If you want to join us please contact us via cafefueralle@johannstadt.de or come to our weekly meetings on Tuesdays, 7.30 pm at Florian-Geyer-Str. 15.

Our Team

Hi, I’m Hannes. I’m part of the “Café for Everybody” because the space to interact with others is very valuable. In Johannstadt it is a step out of anonymity. Especially here the “Café for Everybody” is important. It supports the neighborhood and brings people from different backgrounds together. In addition to these opportunities, it is also easy to establish networks with other projects. I love seeing what other dedicated people are doing in Johannstadt and elsewhere in Dresden.

Justus Hodenberg Vorstellungsbild

Hey, my name is Justus. I grew up and went to school in Radebeul and often spent my free time in beautiful Dresden. I’ve been studying in Augsburg since 2021, but I still feel connected to my home town, especially with my parents still living here. So I decided to volunteer in Dresden and heard of the “Café for Everybody”. It’s always beautiful to see how new acquaintances and friendships are made over coffee and cake and how people in the neighborhood exchange ideas.

Uwe Tröger Vorstellungsbild

I’m Uwe Tröger, 36 years old, and I’m committed to promote an open society where people coexist peacefully. In my opinion, an open society has the greatest potential to be a just society. The “Café for Everybody” embodies a group of people who approach long-term-residents as well as new neighbors with open hearts and invite them to live an open society in Dresden. The project is a platform for intercultural coexistence and serves as a friendly invitation to the Johannstadt neighborhood. I enjoy greatly being part of this amazing project.

Katharina Melzer Vorstellungsbild

Hi, my name is Katharina and I am 37 years old. I have lived in Johannstadt for over 16 years, studied here and started a family. My children were born in the Josephstift hospital and they attended a day-care center in Johannstadt. We like to spend our free time at the Elbe, in the cultural center or at local activities. I feel rooted in this district.
I have worked with the “Café for All” for three years now because it is important to me to get involved here and, above all, to create opportunities for people to get to know each other in Johannstadt. The district is so colorful and diverse and the best way to discover this is with coffee, tea and cake.
